How to Receive Bitcoin: A Step-by-Step Guide
Here’s the end-to-end process of receiving Bitcoin in Ka.app:
1. Sign up for a Ka.app account.
- Download Ka.app from the Play Store or App Store.
- Open the app and sign up using your name, home address, email address, and phone number.
- Set up your pin code. Be sure no one else knows it for your protection.
- Complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, a part of a due diligence process that aims to prevent money laundering, fraud, corruption, and terrorist financing, by providing your valid ID and proof of residency.
2. Receive Bitcoin into your account.
- Log in to your Ka.app account.
- Enter the verification code sent to your mobile number.
- On the dashboard, click the “Receive” button.
- Copy your QR code.
- Send the QR code to the sender, or you can also give the phone number you used to sign up on Ka.app.
- Wait for the other user to send the payment.
Note: If the other user wants to send the payment in another currency but you prefer to receive it in Bitcoin, you can enable the Easy Swap Engine and set it up to automatically receive the payment in Bitcoin.
How to Automatically Receive Payments in Bitcoin Using the Easy Swap Engine
- Click the settings icon on the upper right part of Ka.app dashboard.
- Click “Easy Swap” from the drawer.
- Tick the “Enable Easy Swap” button.
- On the first dropdown, choose the currency that when received, you want to convert to Bitcoin. You may also select all currencies.
- Choose Bitcoin on the second dropdown.
How Much are Crypto Transfer Fees?
The awesome news is that it’s free to receive payments in the same currency in Ka.app. This means you won’t get deducted when the other user sends you Bitcoin and you also receive it in Bitcoin. However, when the Easy Swap Engine converts a payment into your preferred currency, you have to pay a minimal conversion fee. The fee will be charged in the source currency, which means if you send Bitcoin and they receive it in Ethereum, the fee will be charged in Bitcoin.

- Click the “Add Funds” button on the dashboard.
- Click “Deposit from a wallet.”
- Choose Bitcoin.
- Copy your Ka.app wallet address.
- On your external wallet, choose to withdraw Bitcoin, paste your Bitcoin wallet address from Ka.app, and proceed with the transaction.
- And poof! Bitcoin received in your Ka.app account!
Will I Be Able to View My Transaction History in the App?
Of course! Please click the lower rightmost icon on the dashboard to view your transaction history, including the assets you’ve sent, received, deposited, withdrawn, and swapped. You will also be able to see your rewards here.
Which Cryptocurrencies Are Accepted on the App?
As of writing, Ka.app accepts 10 cryptocurrencies which include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Polygon (MATIC), Cardano (ADA), Polkadot (DOT), Binance Coin (BNB), Binance USD (BUSD), and the KASTA token.
