We’re back for another community update! The past two weeks were busy yet very fulfilling for the entire Ka.app team. We made notable progress on our much-awaited features, worked on a few app enhancements, and dropped a huge surprise for KASTA token holders!

We can’t wait to tell you more, so let’s get the ball rolling, shall we?

Tier VII Release

You’ve read it right! We’ve got a new tier and we released it last week! It’s called Tier VII and it allows you to earn up to 15% annual percentage yield (APY) on a maximum of 1 million KASTA! This limit is way higher compared to the previous maximum number of tokens you can earn APY on which was 50,000 KASTA.

You can enter the tier by locking up at least 50,001 KASTA tokens. The offer will close as soon as we reach the total lockup limit of 50 million KASTA. Tier VII also activates discounted conversion rates in Ka.app (0.376%). This applies to all crypto conversions and Easy Swap transactions.

New Domain: ka.app

We wanted to make it easier for you to distinguish our app from our token; so a few months ago, we decided to call the app Ka.app instead of Kasta app, while our token remains the KASTA token.

Since a huge part of our website talks about our app’s offerings, we acquired a new domain and moved from kasta.io to ka.app. This change will help us establish a stronger brand presence, and make it easier for you to explore information about our project.

Cash Beta

Ongoing: Finishing Touches After Internal Testing

We’re done with our first iteration of internal testing! Our team is just working on some finishing touches, and once they’re good to go, we’ll proceed to the next phase, which is our beta testing with select Ka.app users.

Up Next: Beta Testing with Our Users

We’re planning to schedule the closed beta test in the upcoming weeks with some of you, our active Ka.app customers. The testers will be asked to evaluate the flow, speed, ease of use, user interface, and other aspects of the features.

After potential updates, we will launch euros and your own IBAN—or Ka. IBAN, as we call it—in the European Economic Area (EEA). Cash Beta will enable you to send and receive euros quickly, convert euros to crypto and vice versa, deposit and withdraw euros, and more.

Progressive Web App (PWA)

Ongoing: Feature Updates & Additional Security Measures

We decided to make a few updates and additions to our upcoming PWA based on our internal testing data. We’re working on additional security measures, and refining the signup flow, tier design, transaction history flow, and other elements of the PWA for top-grade user experience. All features that will be implemented for region expansion are also in the works.

Up Next: Beta Testing with Our Users

Our team is already preparing for beta testing with select Ka.app users. Just like the cash beta test, we will schedule a call with the participants, and then give them ample time to evaluate every screen and feature possible in the PWA.

We will work on potential enhancements based on feedback, and once they’re done, we will announce the next steps before launching in various regions.

Ongoing App Improvements

Aside from our core works in progress, our team is also working on app improvements that will make a huge difference in your overall Ka.app experience. Some of these include:

Slippage Enhancements & Swap Navigation

To ensure transparency on the potential price fluctuations concerning your crypto conversions, we’ve started making updates on the visibility of slippages and how you see the exact value of your converted funds.

We’re also continuously improving our Swap navigation to make converting cryptocurrencies more and more effortless as you go.

Contact List Update

We updated our contact screens to make it more accessible and stable, while also ensuring the accuracy of your contact list. The update will prevent contact duplicates.

Tier-Related Color Updates

We updated the colours of the buttons in our list of Tiers to establish uniformity, and enhance their visibility for every user.

Platform Architecture Update

We’ve begun our platform architecture update that will help with scaling, onboarding more users, and improving the app by creating the ability to deliver features faster.

Final Thoughts

Launching Tier VII and having a new domain are the highlights of our update, and we’d love to hear what you think about them! We encourage you to follow us on Twitter and join our Telegram community, so we can learn more about you and as a result, serve you better.

Meanwhile, we keep building, thriving, and providing easy crypto payments. As Robert Collier, a famous writer, said, “Success is the sum of small efforts – repeated day in and day out.”
